Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Spotlight Challenge

Good morning everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! I'm a little late with my post today as I tried to type it up last night to post this morning, but we ended up with quite a little lightning show and the electricity just wasn't stable enough. It kept flashing off and on, so I ended up having to turn the computer off and go to bed. The rain sure was nice background noise though! I love to go to sleep listening to falling rain, and that doesn't happen very often in Northern Nevada. So anyway, it's time for a nw challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog, and our fabulous hostess is the amazingly talented Elaine! Elaine gave us a really cool challenge of either highlighting part of an image, or only stamping and using part of an image. Either way is fine. How fun is that? Ok, I've got to tell you that when I ordered Patsy from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, I had some pretty funny intentions for her, cause I LOVE the look on her face!! She just looks, ummmm... curious and confused. heehee...So anyway, I was trying to figure out exactly what situation I wanted to put her in this time where she was "curious and confused", and I decided to make her a mom of a very expressive teenager.  And if you're a mom of a teenager, I can't help but believe you've felt this way at least once in your life. LMBO!  So here is what I made for the challenge.

I've used Patsy for the mom, and Poison for the teenager. They're stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. I just created the sentiment in MS word an printed it out onto the Cryogen paper. Nesties were used to cut out Patsy and Poison. Papers are Basic Grey matted with Bazzill cardstock, and I just did a bow with twine from PTI and hung a skull and bones charm from it.

Please be sure to pop over to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge blog to see all the gorgeous cards made by my Krafy Girl's teamies, and then we'd really love it if you'd join us in the challenge with any image from Kraftin' Kimmie for a chance to win Roxy (the stamp featured on Elaine's fabulous card!) Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly and Peggy Loves Vintage

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and we're being sponsored the fabulous shop The Ribbon Girl! I seriously want to enter this challenge as I would like to have some of everything they've got in their shop! LOL! Dawny is asking us to use Buttons, Bows, Bling, and Blooms. Fun, huh? You can use one or all of them, but you must use at least one. For my card today, I used one of my favorite companies Peggy Loves Vintage!  It's truly wonderful to be able to pick one of these amazing vintage images, print it out, and make a fabulous card in minutes instead of hours!!

This adorable image is from Peggy's Collection of Cuties 2!! LOOOOVE them! She's got a collection of vintage images that would be perfect for whatever you're looking for! So if you've never been there to look around, and you like vintage images, what the heck are you waiting for? LOL! Hop over to Peggy Loves Vintage and check them all out! I'd recommend following her blog as well. She LOVES to give away free images!   The Dp's are Pion Design from a friend (thank you so much!!) matted with Bazzill cardstock. I added some lace from my stash and used one of my old Martha Stewart heart border punch. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and I also used some May Arts silk ribbon, a button, and used my pearl pen. I also did some machine stitching.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see all my talented teamies creations for this challenge! And then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday! yeah - I know, I know...Mondays are usually not the happiest day of the week. BUT...the Magnolia-licious Design Team is having our monthly blog hop today, which makes it pretty happy! Especially since we're featuring the fabulous new images from the Sweet Crazy Love collection! How do these images just keep getting cuter and cuter??!!  So if you've arrived here from seeing the amazing work of Angie, then you're on the right track. If not, then you might want to head to the beginning at Ms Ruby's fabulous blog, cause you don't want to miss a single thing on this hop! Trust me!  Here's what I've cooked up for you today, a book card.

First I want to apologize, cause it's really tough to get good pictures of these book cards. I love how this project turned out, but the pictures are pretty bad. If you'd like to know how to make one of these, just click on the tutorials tab up above. For my card, I've featured three of these amazing new Tilda images from the Sweet Crazy Love collection available at Magnolia-licious, #282 Tilda Sending Love Letters#225 Tilda with Daisy, and #236 Tilda with Cozy Heart.  The "I Love You" stamp is from Sweet Crazy Love as well, but I can't find the number on it right now.

See what I mean about the pictures.  Sorry!  There's lots of machine stitching and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. On the inside left, there's a pocket to slip a tag with a personal note inside.

So that's it for me today! Now it's time for you to move on to see the "oh so talented" Cheryl and see the fabulous creation she has for you today!  Hope you join us over at Magnolia-licious Highlites. You'll find all the information on how to play along for a chance to win an amazing prize from Magnolia-licious! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

(You’ve been buying presents for everyone else all month long….don’t you think it’s time to reward your krafty self a little bit??!! ) The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!!

For the hop toay, I've actually created two cards for you. The first one features one of the adorable images from the LOVELY LULU SET.

This was a really fun card to make. I am soooo in love with this entire LOVELY LULU set!!  She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen white paper and then colored with Copic markers. The grass is just hand colored in with Copics. She is then cut out with Nesties and popped up from the card base. The papers are from an old DCWV stack called Whimsy matted with Bazzill cardstock.

The sentiment comes with the set of Lulu's as well. The clouds and flowers were cut with the Cricut Expression from the Create a Critter cartridge. They're edged with chalk ink to help define the cut. The bow is made with May Arts Silk Ribbon and The Bow Easy, centered with a button from my stash.  The inside is decorated to coordinate with the card front.  Markers used:
clothes: B01, 02, 04, 06;  YG 11, 13, 17, 67
skin: E13, 11, 01, 00
birds: Y32, 35, 58
I used a bunch of different shades of green to draw in the grass. The grass effect is one I will be teaching in a card class coming up.

My second card features the GORGEOUS Athena!! I LOVE her and she was awesome to color!

Athena is stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and the colored with Copics. I'm sorry, I thought I kept track of the markers I used, but I guess I didn't.  I will tell you I know I used YG61, 63. I used grays on the armor for the silver, and Y26, 28 for the gold. Skin is E13, 11, 01, 00, and her hair is E97, 99, and 17.

The papers are Basic Grey matted with Bazzill cardstock. I used some lace from my stash and the bow if made with May Arts silk ribbon and The Bow Easy. All panels are machine stitched.  The awesome sentiment is from the Goddess Sentiments set.

And of course the inside is decorated to complement the card front. Now it's time to head over to see the lovely and talented Diana! Thanks so much for joining us in our blog hop today, and I hope you're having as much fun as we are! When you're all done, you can head straight over to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to purchase your "must have" stamps! If you're anything like me,  it will be all of them! LOL! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hugs!

WOOHOO!! Nicole used the gorgeous Athena for her card, so that is the prize that is up for grabs this week! So first...the sketch...

And here's my card

For my card, I chose to use the gorgeous Goddess Aphrodite! Is she not amazing?! She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen white paper and then colored with Copic markers. She's then cut out using oval and petite scalloped oval Nesties. The sentiment is from the Goddess Sentiments set.

The DP's are MME matted with Bazzill cardstock. All the panels are machine sitched, and I added some May Arts silk ribbon and bow. I made the pins myself.  As you can see, the inside is decorated to complement the card front.

Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love

Have you seen the new Sweet Crazy Love Collection over at Magnolia-licious?? Oh my goodness, I think I have to have every single one of them! LOL! They're ADORABLE!!  It's time for a new challenge over at PaperPlay Challenges and they're sponsored this week by Destination Art.  You could win a $25.00 AUD store voucher! This is also for the Magnolia-licious Design Team Challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites. The amazingly talented Cheryl gave us a challenge of "anything goes".

I used this adorable #282 Tilda Sending Love Letters. It looks like she's sold out right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if Diana doesn't have more of her on the way. She' stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers.  Her clothes are colored with RV91, 93, and 95, her skin is E13, 11, 01, and 00. I used T grays for the whites and I don't remember what colors I used on her hair.

DP's are My Mind's Eye Blush matted with Bazzill cardstock. Tilda is cut out with oval Nesties and there's lots of machine stitching. The butterfly was cut out using the Cricut. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts silk. I also used a black pearl pen.

Papertake Weekly - Die Cute Special!!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! Hope you're having a fabulous start to your week! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and we're sponsored by The Stamp Fairy. Dawny is asking us to use a die cut and something cute. The Stamp Fairy was nice enough to offer the designers our "something cute" by offering one of their adorable images. I chose to work with this precious image Peapod as she stole my heart.

She's a digital image, so I printed her off and clored her with Copic markers. She's then fussy cut out and popped up. The DP is Nitwits Bumbleberry matted with Bazzill cardstock. I made a frame using a Martha Stewart punch around the page set which is popped up from the card base.

Placed behind her is a mini doily made with a Magnolia Doohickey die. I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts framed with some branches from another Martha Stewart punch. That pretty little butterfly was a gift from a friend (Thank you Linda!!). It's a miniature butterfly die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and the bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon.

The last thing I added were some cream pearls from a pearl pen. The inside is decorated to match the card front.  Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all my amazingly talented teamies gorgeous creations, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge time - Shape it up!

Hey everyone!! Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge blog is back from our Holiday break and it's time for a new challenge! This week, I'm hosting the challenge, and it's to use at least three different shapes on your card (the actual shape of the card can count as one of them).  I used square, rectangle, circle, and heart.

Aren't they the cutest, sweetest couple you've ever seen??? LOL! I LOVE these bears!!! They're from the fabulous Lots of Love 2 Set! I am in love with all three images in this set! And the set comes with a total of five fun sentiments too!  They're stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and colored with Copic markers. They're then cut out using circle and petite circle Nestabilities.

DP is Love Struck by We R Memory Keepers matter with Bazzill Red and White Bazzill cardstock. There's lots of machine stitching and faux stitching as well.  The bow is made using May Arts silk ribbon along with the Bow Easy, and the heart was cut using the Cricut Expression and Doodlecharms cartridge.  I also used a Martha Stewart border punch for the heart border.

The inside is decorated to coordinate with the card front. Please be sure and hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog to see what the rest of my talented teamies created for your viewing pleasure! Then if you join us in the challenge with a Kraftin' Kimmie image, you will have a chance to win the adorable bear stamp I used for my card today!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
