Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Let the music inspire you!

Hey everyone! Happy weekend! Hope you're having a wonderful day and for those of you that might be in the path of this franken-storm, stay safe!! It's time for a new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog, and this week our awesome hostess with the mostest is Elaine!  She has challenged us to be inspired by music, so please create any card/project inspired by music in some way. And be sure to use your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to be eligible to win the stamp that Elaine used which is Aurelia! Here's what I've come up with for the challenge.

I've used the new Ainsleigh Arabesque from the most recent release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and gone with the Nutcracker Suite theme. I just love her! The papers are Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet. I cut out part of the story and put it on a frame made with Nestabilities. That delicious rose ribbon trim and the gems are from The Ribbon Girl. Ainsleigh is stamped onto Cryogen White paper and colored with Copics. I then fussy cut her out and popped her up from the card. So that's it for me today. Please be sure and pop over to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog to see all my talented teamies creations. And then we'd love it if you get your KK images all inky and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope you join us again soon! Hugs!

Oh! And don't forget that Kimmie has her Frugal Friday specials up right now! You can check them all out HERE! Six of your favorite spooktacular stamps are on special. But hurry, cause it's only for the weekend!

Believe me, they have the most yummy selection of ribbon and goodies for your crafting needs!! I've used an adorable Magnolia image for my card today! She's #215 Christmas Tilda with Cat from the Little Christmas Collection at Magnolia-licious.  Your one stop source for your Magnolia needs!!  Isn't she the cutest??!! I ADORE this image!

She's stamped onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. The papers are Simple Stories matted with Bazzill cardstock. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts topped with some Diamond Stickles. Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Sneak Peeks Day one!!!!

The weather is getting a little cooler....we're putting away our flip flops and shorts and pulling out our fuzzy sweaters and warm socks!! We're celebrating winter at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps ...and lots more!! (You'll have to wait until later in the week to see what other themes we have up our sleeves!!) We are kicking off the *New* OCTOBER Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our….WINTER TRINKETS!!!
...

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the WINTER Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.

All of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers primarily and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations or to use as the focal point on our cards! They are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! No stamper's stash is complete without them!

Now just you wait 'til you see the awesome samples the Krafty Girls have put together for you....and be sure to comment on each and every stop because one lucky stamper is going to WIN the new WINTER TRINKETS set!!!
This card was so quick and easy to make! I simply cut a snowflake with the Silhouette Cameo and mounted it on some Echo Park paper.  The snowflake frame is from a Martha Stewart PAP set. I simply added some Stickles and called her done! Easy Peasy!! Please be sure and visit the rest of the Krafty Girls and Guests and don't forget to comment at every stop for the best chance of winning this gorgeous set!!

Think Pink Treats Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone! It's time for a Magnolia-licious Design Team Blog Hop! Yep...we're actually a week early this month. so surprise!! LOL!  Our challenge this month is to THINK PINK TREATS in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And we've got some amazing and gorgeous work along with fabulous treats for you too! If you've made your way here from my friend and awesomely talented Cheryl, then you're on the right track! If not, then you'll want to head over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog so you don't miss out on anything. Here's what I've created for you today.

I used #3050 Tilda with Striped Tights from the Pink Collection, and she's available right now at Magnolia-licious! Magnolia came out with the Pink Collection in 2008 and contains some beautiful Tilda images along with some Breast Cancer Awareness stamps. There are some available right now (including Tilda with Striped Tights) at Magnolia-licious. And even more importantly, a portion of the sale of these stamps are donated to the Cancer Society for Breast Cancer research.  She's stamped on Cryogen White paper and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut her out and popped her onto an awareness ribbon cut with the Silhouette.

The basket is also a Silhouette file. The papers are from It Takes Two matted with Bazzill cardstock and the ribbon is May Arts. I was trying to figure out what kind of treat I wanted to put in the basket and so I went to my trusty old friend Google. I found an easy recipe for Pink Popcorn and decided that would be perfect!  I'll list the recipe below for you. I filled two treat bags and put them side by side in the basket.

I hope you're enjoying the blog hop today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me and it's time to hop over to see the fantabulous Norma and check out what bit of gorgeousness she's come up with for your viewing pleasure today.  Don't forget to check out the pink popcorn recipe below! Hugs!

PINK POPCORN (recipe from Food.com)
 2 Cups sugar
1 TBS butter
1/2 Cup water
red food coloring to desired color
2 Cups unpopped popcorn

Combine all ingredients (except popcorn) in medium sauce pan and bring to a boil. Boil for three minutes, and then cool for 10 minutes.

While your sugar syrup is cooling, pop your popcorn.  Slowly pour your syrup over the popcorn and toss to coat evenly.

Spread out onto a cookie sheet to dry. I liked it much better sprinkling salt over it while it's warm and sticky so you get the salty/sweet combination.

Once cool and candy is dry, put into bags.

Happy WCMD!!!

Hi everyone!! I hope you're enjoying your weekend and that you're getting lots of Krafty time in today to celebrate National Card Making Day!! I'm taking two of my four Grandsons to a huge corn maze today! I'm excited and have been waiting for it to open!! It's so big, they have bridges built up over it to help the people that get lost! LOL! That will definitely be me! HAHA!

We've got lots of fun stuff going on over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and the Facebook page too! There are challenges and games where you can win lots of prizes, so be sure to check it all out! And to top it all off, Kimmie is having one HUMUNGOUS sale over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! There are over 140 stamps marked down 20-75% off!!!!! So now is definitely the time to grab all the ones that have been on your wish list!

Since today is Saturday, we've got a brand new challenge for you over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog. And this week our hostess with the mostest is the awesomely talented Cheryl Valadez!  Cheryl is asking everyone to use a skull on their card/project for a chance to win the image she used on her card.  Instead of a card today, I just HAD to make another one of those awesome 3D Gable boxes! They're so quick and easy to assemble and I just love the look of them.

I just LOVE Smee from the Peter Pan release this year. So that's who I used on my skull project. He's stamped onto Cryogen White and colored with Copiic markers. I then fussy cut him out and popped him up from the gable box.  The sentiment was printed on the computer (It Smee....It's me....get it? heehee) (Oh...and Yes...I KNOW it's improper English, but I still like it heehe) then I just tore it out and sponged around the edges with chalk ink. Isn't that skull too funky? He looks to me like he's be dancing.if he had the rest of his body LOL!  Anyway, the tag and skull were cut with the Silhouette.  So that's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and Kraftin' Kimmie Facebook page and play along with all the challenges! And then pop over to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to check out the sale! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon if I make it out of the maze! HAHA! Hugs!

Little Darlings and Saturated Canary

Hey everyone! I'm back with my creation as a GDT for the challenge over at Little Darlings Inspiration Blog, and the theme this month is Die/Dye It! I chose Die It, and here's what I made for it

I used Ellie's Birthday from the Saturated Canary line of stamps available at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps! She's sooooo stinkin' CA-UTE!!! I stamped her onto Cryogen White and colored her with Copic markers. I distressed this poor card to within an inch of its poor little life! HAHA! I used my brand new toy the Distrezz-It-All which I got for a really good price from Overstock.com. The papers are Simple Stories matted with Bazzill cardstock.

That awesome circular stamp is a Birthday Trinket from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon and button from my stash.  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and until next time!! Hugs!

Now here is what I've created for you today. We never would have made it five years if it weren't for our loyal fans and followers, so this is my way of saying THANK YOU to you!!

I used one of my favorite Tilda images #240 Tilda with wrapped heart from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection from Magnolia-licious! Isn't she the most precious thing? Just about everything is cut using the Silhouette. The Thank You sentiment which I created the shadow for,  the layered pumpkin, and the frame for Tilda.

She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White and then colored with Copic markers. The papers are Bella Blvd matted with Bazzill cardstock.

The ribbon is May Arts, the twine from my stash and the pearls are made with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. I also used chalk ink around the edges of the pumpkin and the image frame.  So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for celebrating this big day with us at Papertake Weekly! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the celebration!! Enjoy hopping around to visit everyone, and I'm truly looking forward to the next five years! We never would have turned five if it weren't for YOU! Thanks for visiting and until next time! Hugs!!

Magnolia-licious Design Team Challenge

Oh my goodness...October 1st!! I can't believe it! It's time for a new challenge from the Design Team at Magnolia-licious, and this month the challenge is coming from the extremely talented Angela!! Angela is asking for a Halloween project, but no cards! Please be sure and pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites for all the details on how you can participate to win an awesome prize from Diana at Magnolia-licious! Here's what I've created for you today

I cut a 3d Gable treat box with the Silhouette and then decorated it up with some digital paper. All of the images I used are Magnolia, but unfortunately I don't see anything in stock right now at Magnolia-licious. You can tell it's time for Halloween! :)  Even though these might not be in stock, Diana has an amazing selection of Magnolia images available! And not only does she carry both the regular and mini Magnolia images, she also carries a fabulous selection of gorgeous dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, Marianne, Cheery Lynn, and more! Please be sure to check out the store for all your Magnolia and die cutting needs!

The images are stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copics. I then fussy cut them out and popped them onto the treat box.

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Can't wait to see your fabulous Halloween project for the challenge! Hugs!
